Bradley Beal kept his hot hand going Thursday night in Phoenix, dropping a game-high 34 points in a 109-99 win over the Suns.

Brad followed up his career night with yet another quality performance against the Suns this season. The Panda feasted on the Suns this season, averaging 37.0 points per game against the Western Conference foes during their two games this season. The only team he’s fared better against so far this season is Portland, who Brad scored 51 against on Tuesday.

BB shot an efficient 59 percent (13-22) from the floor and added seven free throws to go along with four assists on the night.

Brad’s 85 points in his last two outings are the most by a Wizards player in consecutive games since Gilbert Arenas scored 85 in a two-game span in 2006.

However, it isn’t just the Panda’s offense that has earned him praise from the coaching staff. Scott Brooks applauded Brad after the game for his defensive efforts during the last two games in Portland and Phoenix.

“The last two nights he took the challenge defensively. He had one of the best guards in the league in Damian (Lillard) the night before,” said Brooks, “and then he challenged himself to lock in defensively on some really good players (tonight).”

The Wizards started slow out of the gates in Arizona, trailing by 12 midway through the first frame, but Brad and his teammates pulled the score back to within two by the end of the quarter. No. 3 closed the quarter particularly strong, finishing the first 12 minutes with 11 points.

The Wiz pulled ahead in the second quarter and took a five-point lead into intermission, but the Suns would fight their way back late in the third quarter, taking a brief lead before Brad beat the buzzer with a running 14-foot jumper to take an 85-84 lead to the fourth quarter.

The Suns kept it close for a majority of the final quarter, but BB and his teammates never relinquished the lead and the Panda sunk a dagger with 1:15 remaining to close out the win for the Wiz.

Following the game, John Wall, impressed with Beal’s recent play, took the microphone from NBC Sports’ Chris Miller and interviewed Brad.

Beal stressed in his postgame interview that winning is the most important thing for this team right now, as the team looks to move up the Eastern Conference standings.

“It doesn’t matter who scores the most points or takes the shots,” said Beal, “as long as get the W at the end of the day, that’s all we care about.”

The Wizards will conclude their string of four games out West with a game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday before traveling to Brooklyn for a Tuesday night tilt against the Nets to finish off a five-game road trip.
