Bradley Beal knocked down his 780th career three-pointer Thursday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, which gives him the most triples in NBA history before turning 25.

No. 3 had the hot hand all night in his first game since being selected to the NBA All-Star Game, piling up 41 points on 6-11 shooting from beyond the arc.

Whether it was attacking the rim off the dribble or knocking down contested triples, BB repeatedly found the bottom of the net in Chesapeake Energy Arena and excelled all night at finishing through contact.

Brad was active in all phases of the game for the Wizards, snagging 12 rebounds, which tied a career-high, dishing out seven assists and notching two steals.

The Wizards’ other All-Star, John Wall, recorded a double-double in Oklahoma City as well, compiling 21 points and 12 assists for the game. He and Brad worked together in sync all night and helped mount a comeback after trailing 54-40 at halftime.

Beal and Wall each knocked down four threes in the final period and Beal scored 18 of his 41 in the fourth to keep the Wizards in it down the stretch.

Unfortunately for Beal and his teammates, they came up short against the reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook and company, falling 121-112.

Ultimately, the Wizards gave up too many easy buckets inside to the Thunder. Oklahoma City outscored Washington 60-40 in the paint and it’s hard to win a game when that stat is so lopsided.

Washington held the Thunder to 33 percent shooting from three and kept pace with them in rebounds, but they just couldn’t overcome all the easy baskets they allowed inside.

The good news for the Wizards is that they will have a quick turnaround. They travel to Atlanta next for a tilt with the Hawks on Saturday at 7:30pm ET and they have a rematch with Oklahoma City set for Tuesday at Capital One Arena. It will be their second and final meeting of the year against the Thunder. Tip-off for that game will be 7pm ET.
