Break out your No. 3 Wizards Jersey and your freshest Jordans on October 11th, because the District is set to celebrate Bradley Beal Day.
The Council of the District of Columbia announced on Thursday that it will officially declare next Tuesday, October 11, 2022, “Bradley Beal Day.” The official proclamation will be made at Capital One Arena at the conclusion of the Wizards opening practice, by Councilmember Brooke Pinto.
The honor is meant to recognize Brad, not only for his commitment to D.C. entering his 11th season with the Wizards, but for what he has given and continues to give to the community. Over more than a decade in The District, Brad has used his time and resources to give back to those less fortunate as a donor, philanthropist, role model and mentor, particularly through his work with Ron Brown College Preparatory High School and a refurbishment project for the basketball courts at Banneker Community Center in Shaw.
Bradley Beal (@RealDealBeal23) said that he wanted to align his brand with Hoop for All not just for the Banneker courts refurbishment but to increase awareness about the health resources they offer to the black community. @dbltakesports pic.twitter.com/wYWFePCXX4
