The Phoenix Suns were making some headway in their quest to get into the Western Conference play-in tournament, but they’ll have to go for at least a few games without Bradley Beal’s help in trying to achieve that goal.

Brad suffered a hamstring injury early in Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

“His hamstring tightened up and he was unable to go in the second half,” Coach Mike Budenholzer said after the game.

The injury was severe enough for the Suns to send Brad for imaging, and following that he was shutdown for a week at which point the injury will be re-evaluated.

“He had an MRI today. We’ll be hopeful that this next week goes well and re-evaluate him then,” Budenholzer said Monday. “I feel bad for Brad. We’ve just got to find a way to try to keep him healthy. Hopefully, get him right.”
