For the first time in his NBA career, Bradley Beal is a free agent, open to choosing whichever team best fits his desire to win.
Brad and the Phoenix Suns reached an agreement for the Suns to buyout the final two years of his contract.
No. 3 spent two seasons in Phoenix, playing 53 games each season 17.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game, matching his career average. He also shot better than 40 percent from three-point range and better than 50 percent from the field during those two seasons, both marks higher than his average over 11 seasons in Washington.
But things simply didn’t work out for the Suns’ big three as they were eliminated in the first round of the 2024 playoffs and did not make the postseason in 2025. Beal joins Kevin Durant in exiting Phoenix. Durant was traded to Houston as part of a seven-team deal last week.
