The eight-game schedule the Washington Wizards will play in the NBA’s Orlando bubble to try to earn a postseason opportunity is official.

The Wizards will begin play on July 31 against the Phoenix Suns. It’s one of just three games against Western Conference foes. Two days later, on August 2nd, they’ll take on the Brooklyn Nets, followed by a game against the Indiana Pacers the next day, their only back-to-back. Washington will then play every other day until their finale August 13 against the Boston Celtics.

Washington (24-40) is currently seeded ninth in the Eastern Conference, 5.5 games behind the eighth-seeded Orlando Magic. The Wizards will need to be within at most four games of the eighth seed by the end of the season to force a potential two-game playoff, in which they would have to win twice before the eighth seed wins once.

The Wiz notably do not have a game with the current 8-seed Magic, which would create an opportunity to make up ground more quickly, however the Magic sit just a half a game behind the Brooklyn Nets, who may be severely undermanned in Orlando, creating an opportunity for Washington, especially with a game on the books against Brooklyn scheduled for August 2nd. That game will be one to watch.

The Wizards leave for Orlando on July 7th.
