The Washington Wizards fought their way to a tough 92-89 win against an improved Minnesota Timberwolves team Tuesday night in Minneapolis.

Bradley Beal did not have his best shooting night, but he drew a lot of attention and double-teams from Wolves’ defenders, which allowed him to set up his teammates with good shots.

Beal finished the game with eight points and six assists, including one that found Otto Porter Jr. for the go-ahead bucket in the final minute of the game.

After the game BB acknowledged that the Wolves’ game plan was to force the ball out of his hands, but Brad said he trusted his teammates to hit open shots.

“They didn’t want me to get anything going…I trust my teammates. I trust my teammates to make shots. Every time I got in the paint, it was clogged, so it just leaves guys open for threes,” Brad said.  “I wasn’t necessarily scoring, and I’m OK with it because somebody else is.”

Beal’s teammates earned his praise Tuesday as the Wizards’ bench outscored Minnesota’s 49-11 on the night and Porter Jr. led all scorers with 22 points.

The Wizards head to Philadelphia on a back-to-back to face the 76ers on Wednesday night. The game will be on NBATV and tips at 7pm ET.
