All season Bradley Beal has been cooking, but on Wednesday night, No. 3 sizzled.

Brad scored a career-high 60 points, making 20 of his 35 shots from the field. He sank seven three-pointers and when he wasn’t scoring from the field, got to the line time and again, sinking 13 free throws. He also tallied five assists and grabbed seven rebounds. It was a superstar performance against the best team in the league thus far. Unfortunately, it was not enough.

Despite BB’s incredible night, which tied a franchise record, the Washington Wizards couldn’t overcome the multi-pronged attack of the Philadelphia 76ers, falling 141-136 in Philadelphia on Wednesday night.

That left Brad with a sour taste in his mouth after yet another career night.

“I’m pissed off,” he said. “I’m mad. I don’t count any of my career highs. They’ve been in losses. So I don’t give a damn. You can throw it right out the window with the other two or three I’ve had. “I just want to win. Sometimes you might be able to score 40, 50, 60, whatever the case may be, but I just want to win, whatever that looks like. We came up a little bit short tonight.”

The Wizards (2-6) return to action on Friday when they head to Boston to take on another top East contender in the Celtics (6-3). Tipoff is slated for 7:30pm and the game can be seen on CSN-Washington.
